See How We Approach Your Gutter System

See What Goes Into a Gutter System

Gutters are more than just the aluminum you see from the ground. In this short video, we explain the materials, gutter sizes, gauges, downspouts, gutter guards, and other details that can affect how well your system works.

A Gutter System Should Be a 25-Year Investment

A gutter system can look good the day it's installed and still have problems if the details are wrong. The right materials, proper installation, and local knowledge all matter.

From heavier-gauge aluminum and properly spaced hangers to gutter size, downspouts, gutter guards, and making sure the gutters are properly positioned behind the drip edge, every detail affects how the system performs.

What happens after you call us:

We Take a Look at What's Going On

Reviews Your Request

You're not sending your information into a call center. One of us will personally review your project and the details you've shared.

We'll Get Back to You

We'll contact you that evening or the following day to talk about your project and schedule a free estimate if an on-site visit is the next step.

We'll Look at the Problem and Explain Your Options

When we visit,we will listen to your concerns and  we'll look at how your gutters are working, where the water is going, and what's causing the problem. Then we'll explain your options whether that means a repair, cleaning, downspout upgrade, or a new gutter system.

You'll Get a Straight Answer and a Clear Price

No pressure to replace something that can be fixed. No obligation to move forward. Just an honest recommendation and a clear estimate so you can decide what's right for your home.

Ready to Move Forward? We'll Get You on the Schedule.

Once you have your estimate, there's no pressure to decide on the spot. If you're ready to move forward, we'll schedule your project.

We can usually schedule most residential gutter projects within about a week, and many installations are completed in just one day.

Copper and commercial gutter projects may take longer because of specialized materials, custom fabrication, and the additional labor involved. We'll discuss the expected timeline with you before scheduling your project.

Why New Hampshire Property Owners Choose Us

When you hire someone to work on your home, you want to know who's actually showing up and whether the work will be done right.

New England Gutter Systems isn't a franchise, and we don't hand your project off to subcontractors. Dan Foote has been installing gutters for over 30 years, he and Andrew have been running New England Gutter Systems and working together since 2015 winning awards from home advisor in 2017 and 2018 and last year from next door. Today Dan and Andrew remain directly involved in the work, from helping homeowners understand their options to making sure the finished gutter system does what it's supposed to do: move water safely away from the home.

We use heavier materials than many standard gutter systems, space hangers closer together for New England conditions, and pay close attention to where the water is going. Because gutters that look good but overflow, drain poorly, or send water toward the foundation haven't solved much of anything.

Questions Homeowners Ask Before Getting Started

  • Do you offer free estimates?

Yes. We offer free on site estimates for gutter installation, repairs, replacements, and commercial gutter cleaning we can quote residential gutter cleanings over the phone. Tell us a little about what's going on, and we'll help determine the best next step.

  • I'm not sure what's wrong with my gutters. Can you help

Absolutely. You don't need to know whether you need a repair, cleaning, larger gutters, better downspouts, or a completely new system. Tell us what you're seeing overflowing water, sagging gutters, water near the foundation, leaks, or anything else and we'll help figure out what's causing the problem.

  • Do I need new gutters, or can mine be repaired

Not every gutter problem means you need a whole new system. Sometimes a gutter can be re-secured, re-pitched, cleaned, repaired, or improved with larger downspouts. Sometimes you only need one section replaced. We'll look at the condition of your existing gutters and explain your options honestly.

  • Can you repair or replace just one section

In many cases, yes. If one section is damaged or causing a problem, a full replacement may not be necessary. We'll look at the existing system and let you know whether repairing or replacing a single section makes sense.

  • How do I know if my gutters need to be replaced

If your gutters are older or were made with lightweight, poor-quality materials, repairs may only buy you time. A repair can make sense when the underlying system is still in good shape, but when the gutters are failing in multiple places, you're often just putting a bandage on a bigger problem. At that point, replacing the system may be the more practical long-term solution.

  • How Long Do Gutters Usually Last

Gutters don't have an expiration date. How long they last depends on the material, thickness, installation, weather, and how well the system handles water.

    Aluminum Gutters

A properly installed aluminum gutter system can often last 20–30 years or more. Heavier .032 aluminum gives you a stronger gutter than lightweight material, but even good aluminum will eventually show its age from weather, expansion and contraction, corrosion, damage, and repeated repairs.

Our qualifying seamless gutter installations include a 25-year manufacturer warranty on materials and a Lifetime Labor Warranty covering qualifying workmanship.

Those warranties are different from the expected lifespan of the gutter itself. We'll explain exactly what is covered when we provide your estimate.

    Copper Gutters

    Copper is a different story.

A properly installed copper gutter system can last 50 years or more, and well-built copper gutters can remain functional for 70–100 years or longer. Copper naturally develops a patina over time, but that change in appearance is part of the material's character rather than a sign that the gutters are wearing out.

The quality of the installation matters just as much as the copper itself. Properly formed sections, properly soldered seams, correct expansion allowances, and good drainage design all play a role in how long the system lasts.

That's why copper gutters are often chosen for historic homes, high-end homes, and homeowners who want a gutter system they may never need to replace in their lifetime.

    The Bottom Line

The cheapest gutter system isn't always the least expensive over the life of your home. Sometimes repairing an older system makes perfect sense. Other times, repeated repairs on aging or lightweight gutters are simply buying time.

We'll look at the condition of your existing system and help you decide whether repair, replacement, or a different drainage solution makes the most sense.

  • Will homeonwers insurance cover new gutters

Sometimes, but not simply because your gutters are old or worn out.

Homeowners insurance generally isn't intended to cover normal aging, corrosion, poor maintenance, or gutters that have simply reached the end of their useful life.

If your gutters were damaged by a covered event such as a severe storm, wind, hail, or a fallen tree, your policy may provide coverage. Coverage depends on your specific policy, deductible, the cause of the damage, and your insurance company's determination.

If you think your gutters were damaged during a storm, take photos before making repairs if it's safe to do so and contact your insurance company. We can also document what we see during our inspection to help you understand the extent of the damage.

We install and repair gutters—we don't decide whether an insurance claim is covered. Your insurance company is the one that makes that determination

  • Do you install 5-inch gutters

Yes. 5-inch K-style gutters are still the right choice for many homes. The right size depends on the roof area, pitch, valleys, gutter run, and how much water the system needs to handle.

We don't automatically recommend 6-inch gutters for every house. We'll look at your home and recommend the size that makes sense for the roof and drainage conditions.

  • Do you install 6-inch gutters

Yes. We install 6-inch seamless K-style gutters when the home needs the additional capacity. They're a good choice for larger or steeper roofs, long gutter runs, roof valleys, and areas where heavy rainfall puts more water into the system.

  • Do you install gutter guards?

Yes. We install perforated aluminum gutter guards designed to keep leaves and larger debris out while allowing rainwater to enter the gutter.

These gutter covers strenghten the system and are more affordable.

We look at the trees around your home, the type of debris you're dealing with, and the existing gutter system before recommending a guard. Not every gutter guard works well in every New Hampshire yard, especially around homes with pine trees and heavy needle or pollen buildup.

If you're considering gutter guards, we'll help you choose a system that makes sense for your home rather than simply selling you the most expensive option.

    https://www.newenglandguttersystems.com/

  • Do you clean gutters

Yes. We provide professional gutter cleaning and maintenance for homes and businesses. We'll remove leaves and debris, check for obvious problems, and let you know if we see anything that could affect how your gutter system is working.

If your gutters keep overflowing, cleaning may not be the whole answer.** We'll help you determine whether the problem is a clog or something else, such as poor pitch, undersized gutters, or downspouts that can't keep up.

  • What payment methods do you accept

We accept all major credit cards, checks and cash. Contact us if you have a question about a specific payment method, and we'll be happy to let you know what options are available.

  • Are you insured

Yes. New England Gutter Systems is insured. Proof of insurance and references are available upon request, so you can feel confident about who you're hiring to work on your home.

  • Do you offer commercial gutter cleaning

Yes. We provide gutter cleaning and maintenance for commercial buildings, apartment complexes, HOAs, and other larger properties.

Commercial gutter systems often have longer runs, larger roof areas, and more complicated drainage than a typical home. We can evaluate the property, clean the system, and let you know if we find issues such as clogged downspouts, sagging gutters, drainage problems, or areas that may need repair.

If you manage a commercial property or multiple buildings, contact us to discuss your cleaning and maintenance needs. https://www.newenglandguttersystems.com/commercial-gutter-cleaning-maintenance

I recently started the search to replace both my front and back gutters and dealt with multiple companies. New England Gutter Systems easily won my business! Dan came out to the house was able to quickly give me the overall plan for the project, show me the materials, and provide the best quote. On top of this his son Andrew was able to come out and install the gutters within a week which was amazing! Everything came out great and the whole process was easy! This family business takes pride in their work and I strongly recommend them!

After researching and calling several installers Dan was the first one to come over (with samples) and initiate a quote. He answered all my questions then, and afterwards, using their online quoting system. Dan and his sons came over, as promised, and worked quickly and efficiently as a team. Great communications, price and informative website. Even provided a closely color matched gutter system to the existing house siding. A great overall contractor experience! See photo showing a tight and challenging installed section, very pleased!

Thanks Dan,

Stan & Susan Mikutel

I've been a home improvement enthusiast for over forty years doing all kinds of work myself. On the rare occasion that I do hire a contractor, I research and attempt to hire true craftsmen that do quality work, and I'm critical! I'm happy to say that Dan and his two sons did a great job and it's evident that they really care about quality and the work. There are a lot of gutter contractors out there and many times you really don't know what crew you'll get. Some can't even find the time to come out and want you to send in pictures for a quote. Dan took the time to come to my house to discuss and evaluate the job. The gutters were installed by Dan and his two sons the next week on the day and time they scheduled. This is a small family business that clearly takes pride in their work.

Reached out to these folks and they were prompt in their quote time and accuracy. Once we made the decision to move forward their team was on site with in a day and had the gutters installed quickly.

The work was solid, clean and they look great!

A big thanks to the team for the hard work.

★★★★★

Outstanding work. Prompt, courteous, and for my point of view went beyond what was asked. There was some branches and twigs and moss on my roof, it was all gone by the time they were done. Not part of cleaning gutters, but appreciated that they just did it on their own. They will be getting my call next year.

Dan and the crew from New England Gutter Systems did a great job installing the gutters on the Monadnock Indoor Tennis Club in Peterborough, NH. The pricing was fair, the workmanship was great and they made sure the project was completed to our satisfaction.

The crew at New England Gutter exceeded my expectations. They were professional, honest, and knowledgeable. I have a large house and their pricing, which included tightening up loose gutter parts, was beyond fair. I highly recommend them!

Dan, Andrew, and the other son, whose name I didn't catch, did a great job on our gutters. They had the best price, were on time, and completed the work in a half day. Nice guys, too.
